About every 15 minutes the CBS morning national news cuts to the local affiliates for a weather update. It's the one part of the news I always be sure to give my attention, but the guy who does it drives me crazy. His weather delivery is fine and his meteorological predictions are on the money, but he always pretends that the people on the national news were talking to him right before the throw. The person on national news will say something like, "And now to your world for a local weather report." And he'll say, "Hey! Thanks Gail! Boy, they sure have fun up there. Today's weather is looking..." I don't know who he thinks he's fooling. The national news people are talking to the wall more than they're talking to him. We all know they're not on the same set.
