Note-Passing Neighbors
Some kids live next door. College kids. And some people with a kid live next door to them. Of course there would be problems. The other night we came home and saw a note stuck to the college kids' door, "Please don't slam your door. We don't live in the projects." This is an odd note. A polite request followed by an unrelated factual statement. I've tried to figure out how the two are related and I cannot. Someone took the sign down. It went back up. Then I took the sign down, and it has not gone back up. (I didn't want the college kids thinking I left, "Hey bros, I'm still cool!") And now, I've been trying to figure it out, what's more passive-aggressive: My neighbors putting up the note or me taking it down without saying anything?
