Blown Elbows
Every job has inherent hazards. Mine is rife with elbows blown out of all my shirts' right sleeves. It took me a while to figure it out, but I'm confident that the elbows wear thin from pushing my mouse around my desk for eight or nine hours a day and dragging my elbow. I don't think about it much, the hazards. And if I'm being honest, I also don't spend much time reflecting on why I've selected a profession where I make a living that includes several hours, days, weeks, months, years of pushing a mouse around a desk. But when I see how many shirts I've ruined at work, I think about it. But then I also think about how I don't want to be a lumberjack.
