A friend called me a few months back with an emergency question, "How do you make margaritas?" I gave him my formula, which is the simple magic ratio of three parts tequila, two parts fresh lime juice, and one part Cointreau. I finished imparting this wisdom to him, and was sat in silence on the phone for a moment. Then he said, "Ah, what do I do with the blender and this Limeade?" I exercised patience and told him in polite, even terms that he must have accidentally called the wrong person.
