Classical Music

I've taken an interest in classical music. So far that interest goes as far as looking up classical composers on Wikipedia and then YouTube, and then listening to the helpful best-of lists that some music store compiled. Is there anyone composing modern classical music? Or is that impossible since classical music is delimited by a certain time frame? If that's the case, the modern composer would also need a time machine. In which case there could definitely be modern classical music being made. Even post-modern. But what strikes me most about these fantastic symphonies are their names. Things like "Number 2" and "Number 3." The list goes on. I find it baffling that these musicians were so good at making music, but so bad at naming it. This makes a strong case in support of the theory of different kinds of intelligence.
