Deer Hunter

I've never been a person you'd consider "cool" though I did attempt to stake my claim on that territory for a few years by knowing which bands were considered cool, or at least new, in certain circles. I relied on my friends for all this information, and now that they're all hundreds of miles away I no longer have a connection to upcoming, good music. It hit home tonight. A friend said they were going to see Deer Hunter and I thought, "You mean 'play' Deer Hunter" the video game. Then I realized they probably meant they were going to some art house cinema showing of the 1970s film Deer Hunter. Then a mutual friend asked if Deer Hunter had a new album. I'm well out of the loop.
