Condiments
My wife is in the habit of setting the cap on top of bottles but not screwing them on. Salad dressing, Tabasco, ketchup; you get the idea. And I'm in the unfortunate habit of giving one vigorous shake to each condiment bottle I pick up before I use it on my food. I find that one shake ensures I don't get ketchup water on my hamburger or Tabasco vinegar on my eggs. Though these days it also ensures that I'm spending the next five minutes cleaning condiments off my kitchen cabinets and floor. I'm not sure how much time she's saved in her life by never screwing the cap on condiment bottles, but that savings has been added exponentially to my busy work time on this planet.
