Google+ Birthdays

Google+ now tells you when it's one of your friend's birthdays with a handy reminder, and they even pre-populate a post on the person's page with a note that says, "Happy Birthday!" All that's left for you to do is click "send" and you're able to dispatch the saddest, easiest birthday greeting on the planet. I admit that I've done this for a few friends, but I know that they're tech savvy enough to understand what's going on. On the hierarchy of doing something special for someone's birthday, the Google+ post is even worse than sending them a nice e-card.
