The Future's So Bright
I watch sci-fi movies once in a while and among the themes I've noticed is that everyone in the future is very attractive. Often sci-fi movies deal with post-apocalyptic scenarios, and I can tell you for a fact that if something cataclysmic happens on Earth the gene pool will get a lot better looking. The other thing I've noticed is that a lot of people still smoke, which bodes oddly for our future. You think that as a race of humans we would have gotten smarter. It also seems that Greek mythology is often referenced in sci-fi films. The Greeks have real staying power; no one else's mythology ever gets the nod in futuristic sci-fi. A bum deal for the Norse gods for sure.
