The notion of having a legacy is of little interest to me. It's fine to get things named after you while you're gone, but getting it done while you're alive is the real treat. Just about everything in the wild world is named after someone, from mountains to moths. Having an imposing mountain named after me would be great, but let's face it, this isn't going to happen. Instead I think I'll go on NASA.com and buy one of the distant stars or, even better, a meteor. My hope would be that the star would go Super Nova and engulf surrounding galaxies or that the meteor would crash into the moon. All the news outlets would have to put my name all over the place, and I'd forever be linked to mass interstellar destruction. And I can't think of anyone else in the universe named after interstellar destruction.
