When my girlfriend goes out of town for work for the week I stay up late and get almost no sleep. It's not because I'm risking everything in an all-night poker games or out drinking with ex-girlfriends until all hours of the morning. It's because I stay at work late and then spend the rest of my evening sitting on the couch watching old episodes of MST3K and other comedies that she hates on Netflix. Then when I finally give up and go to bed exhausted I stay up and read for another hour since I have the luxury of being able to keep my bedside lamp on. By the time she returns I'm exhausted and managed to accomplish absolutely nothing.
