During 6th grade I participated in the local YMCA's lock-in. This is when your parents drop you off at the Y around 7pm and you stay there until 8am the next morning. You're "locked in." Upon reflection, the only thing I have to say about the event is that it is almost unbelievable to me that there were no fatalities or horrible disasters. Leaving 80 excited kids and about 10 inattentive chaperons locked in a huge complex with a swimming pool, gym, and massive game room more than sounds like a recipe for disaster--it sounds like a sure thing in a lawsuit.
