Like most everyone I know, music invokes memories for me. A love song might bring a you back to a lost romance, or a metal song may transport a friend to the time he saw the band live in college. So is it weird that almost every song from the early 2000's reminds me of playing video games? My college roommate had a Playstation and I'd spend most afternoons sitting on our futon playing Gran Turismo. Whenever I hear music from that era it reminds me of endlessly racing a Mitsubishi around an oval track. I guess it was a lot harder to listen to music on the go back then.
