While traveling I met a woman and we had a disconcerting conversation about eco-terrorism. It was a very odd, disjointed conversation that hopped around and held many long pauses and awkward looks. She was saying she considered it the only way to save wild places, and that once people experience a wild place they'll become advocates for its protection. A couple more minutes into the conversation I found out that we were actually talking about "eco-tourism" and not "eco-terrorism." Her points made a lot more sense after that.
