Countdown Time

I could hear my co-worker over a cubicle wall yell "three!" and then not another word. But from the way he yelled it, I could tell he was counting down to something. When people yell numbers as a part of a countdown, there's a certain cadence, a hopefulness to the next number in the order and the final product at the end. I considered diving under my desk but instead stood up to find out what was going on. He was watching a video on a website of a rocket launch with his headphones on and got carried away by the drama. Fortunately it's a forgiving office.
