Monday Recap

During high school my math teacher would ask one kid the details of their weekend on every Monday. Maybe it speaks to my lack of math skills but Monday morning weekend recap was my favorite part of the week's classes. The teacher would call on me a lot, especially when I'd done something cool on the weekend and wanted to brag about it to my classmates but not seem like I was bragging. I always thought it was odd that he would call on me when I really wanted to be called on, like he somehow knew about my private life and knew when to ask about my weekend. In hindsight, he probably called on me because I was the only person in the room sitting up straight in my chair and staring straight at him when he would look for a person to call on.
