Taking the Kids

I read an article that put forth the idea that morbidly obese children should be taken away from their parents. I found it offensive. There could be loads of reasons besides bad parenting for obese kids. Then today I was in a health food store eating lunch and a family came in that included a teenager. The kid reeked with such an offensive stench that I tried to breathe through my mouth while eating and ended up having to leave the establishment for fresh air. The kid sat by the door, and every time someone opened it the breeze would push the foulness towards me. While I don't think he should have been taken away from his parents, a friendly suggestion to aloof parents couldn't hurt.
