Soy Sauce

In high school Spanish some kid having trouble with the vosotros form of the verb 'ser' said he remembered it by saying "sois sauce" over and over to remember the word is "sois." I've used many mnemonic devices to remember bits of information, many of them not of much use to me outside of my high school. Spanish would be of tremendous use to me right now, but I dropped that after my first couple years to take astronomy and ceramics -- they didn't really payoff. The other day I was eating in a Japanese restaurant and the waitress asked if I needed anything else. I said, "Sois sauce," though I meant "soy sauce." If all of the mnemonic devices that I used back in high school start creeping into my life it won't be long before I'm no longer able to communicate with anyone.
