Occasionally you'll be able to find a free wifi signal offered by a hotel or a bus while you're traveling. They don't charge for it but ask for some personal information in exchange for the use of their broadband signal. They'll ask a name, age, income level, and e-mail address. I never give these people my real information since I try to avoid having them market to me, but I do enter a different fake e-mail address each time. This is because Ii assume that almost every e-mail address is taken and while todd1234 or bevis2 might get one or two errant spam messages accidentally sent their way as a result of my accidentally entering their address, at least I'm not making one person's inbox a nightmare of spam by signing them up over and over.
